Neighborsgrid is a vintage sportswear store specializing in authentic Chicago sports gear from the 80s and 90s. Located in downtown Geneva, Illinois, we curate rare pieces from legendary teams like the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Blackhawks. From vintage Starter jackets to Logo Athletic snapbacks, every item is hand-selected for fans who love classic Chicago sports culture.

Position Summary

We are seeking a trusted and energetic individual to oversee weekday store operations, support drop days, product content creation, assist with product processing, and help elevate the customer experience in-store and online. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fashion, sports, resale, retail, content creation, and working in a fast-paced small business environment.

Schedule

Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Thursday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Some Sundays: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (as needed)

Compensation

$17/hr-$20/hr + store performance bonus

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

Open and close the store

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor

Restock and merchandise new product

Support smooth daily store operations

Customer Experience & Sales

Deliver an exceptional client experience to every customer

Assist shoppers with product recommendations and styling

Drive in-store sales through strong service and engagement

Handle transactions accurately and professionally

Product Processing

Tag, steam, and prepare incoming inventory

Take quality photos of new arrivals for online listing

Assist with online listings and inventory organization

Marketing & Content Support

Photograph new drops and send content for social media

Assist with weekly drop day newsletter using existing templates

Share creative ideas to help grow the brand

Team Support

Communicate updates clearly with ownership

Work independently and take initiative

Represent the Neighborsgrid brand with professionalism and energy

Qualifications

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

Strong communication and people skills

Organized with attention to detail

Comfortable working independently

Passion for vintage, streetwear, sneakers, or fashion is a plus

Retail, resale, or customer service experience preferred

Knowledge of Chicago Sports teams 

Experience with Excel, Word Doc, Google Sheets is a bonus 

Experience with Canva or other graphic design platforms is a bonus 

Social media/content experience is a bonus
